I create paintings where the earthly and natural meet the spiritual and timeless.
01 / NATURE AND MATERIAL
A painting begins with the canvas.
I work on natural linen. Its colour and distinct weave help shape the painting: a ground for expressive brushwork that remains part of the composition.
Linen and pure gold connect my painting with the natural world. I am interested in how these materials meet colour, form and the emotion I want to express.
02 / GOLD AND LIGHT
Light changes how we see.
I use pure 24-carat gold leaf, applying it to selected areas of the painting. Its texture and lustre complement the painted form.
Gold reveals itself differently depending on the light and where we stand. This shifting quality is part of the encounter with a painting: an invitation to pause and look closely.
03 / EMOTION AND FORM
Closeness. Femininity. Inner strength.
I paint to express emotion. The world around me, nature and inner experiences inspire me. I bring them to the canvas through colour, composition and gesture.
Closeness between people, the subtlety and strength of femininity, and moments of reflection recur in my work. The body and painted form become ways of telling these stories.
04 / MEETING THE VIEWER
Space for your feelings.
For me, art is a dialogue. I want my paintings to leave room for your own feelings and reflections, so that everyone can find something personal in them.
My experience is the beginning of a painting. What someone else sees and feels in it becomes the next part of that conversation.
